Negev Tiyul
The annual Negev Tiyul took off in style with the Talmidim biking down the historical Burma road. The Talmdim continued on to their beautiful lodging in the Negev town of Yerucham and participated in their 2nd water polo tournament in an Olympic size swimming pool in Nitzana. Winners of water polo were rewarded with a giant, yard long Fookie Fried Deli Roll.
The next morning the Talmidim who wanted to "push it", woke up for Vatikin and challenged themselves with a strenuos, but stunning hike in the Machtesh Hagadol. The "Push It" hike was led by Rav Saffer and Rav Glanz. This incredible hike went through the largest canyon, not deepest, in the entire world. They were led by our tour guide, Ari Gruen. The early morning views were nothing short of breathtaking, and the color of the desert sand was constantly changing from the different shades of the rising sun. The hikers formed the word "Push It" with their bodies (please see the pictures below). The entire Yeshiva joined up after breakfast for a tiyul in the Ein Bokek, which is a beautiful hike not far from the hotels near the Dead Sea. Ein Bokek is literally a natural oasis in the lowest and one of the most arid places on earth. After the hike, the boys had time to float and frolic in the incredible waters by the newly refurbished separate beach at Yam Hamelach.

Thanksgiving
Mevaseret celebrated Thanksgiving in style. Mo Berman, our Director of Culinary Services, cooked up an all American feast featuring 15 Turkeys with stuffing, sweet potatoe pie, Cranberry Crunch, Squash Soup, fresh breads, and of course, apple pie with ice cream for dessert.
The Yeshiva followed the Thanksgiving feast with all out flag football games in Kraft Stadium.
